Wild Fly Angler

Wild Fly Angler is a Billings, Montana fly shop that was started in 2010. Although we consider ourselves more of an "urban" shop (by Montana standards at least!), our home waters are some of the best not only in Montana, but also in the entire country. Within a two hour drive of the shop you can find yourself on everything from blue ribbon freestones to trout filled spring creeks, and of course the legendary Bighorn River; which many consider to be one of the finest trout rivers in North America. Our goal is pretty simple: To deliver the best service possible to our customers.  When you step in you'll notice an incredible selection of premium fly tying materials that are priced better than anybody in the area. You'll find a practical selection of rods, reels, waders, tackle and equipment that makes sense in the "real world" in terms of function, cost, and value. You'll find guys behind the counter who are probably tying flies for the shop bins-  and probably fished or guided the day before so they can tell you what the hot bite is on a particular river, and they are never afraid to share that info. We take pride in helping new anglers learn the "in's and out's" of fly fishing- and most importantly they check their egos at the door.  They are there to listen, and to help you derive the most enjoyment possible out of your precious free time that you get to spend on the water.
