Are you ready for the biggest party in baseball?!? Banana Ball is making its way to Billings!
The Firefighters and Party Animals are going to put on three shows Aug. 20-22 at Dehler Park, and organizers want to make sure getting to and from the ballpark is as easy and stress-free as possible.
Just park downtown, hop on at any of the five MET Route 1 downtown stops and be taken straight to Dehler Park’s front entrance. Buses will run every seven minutes, meaning you will not have to wait long.
All downtown metered parking becomes free after 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and is free all day Saturday.
Expanded MET Transit service will begin at 2:30 p.m. each day to get fans to Dehler Park in time for the Banana Ball Pre-Game Plaza, which starts at 3:30 p.m., and service will run until 10:30 p.m. each night to allow everyone to exit the park and get back to their transportation.
This takes the guesswork out of parking for the event
With 5,000 people expected each night, parking around Dehler Park will be extremely limited and pose a challenge for many. Organizers hope the extended service and free rides from downtown, where parking is more abundant, alleviate some of the burden on the surrounding neighborhood as well as nearby hospitals.
No parking in hospital lots
It is important to note that both Billings Clinic and Intermountain Health lots remain for HOSPITAL USE ONLY so everyone who needs to utilize these medical facilities can do so. Please do not plan to park in hospital lots if you are simply attending Banana Ball festivities.
Together with Visit Billings and MET Transit, organizers hope this gives you one less thing to worry about and makes your Billings Banana Ball experience even better!
