The Argos used an early four-point run to build a 7-2 lead in the opening set. Rocky trimmed the deficit to two, but Providence answered with a 9-2 run to build a comfortable cushion and held on for a 25-17 victory.
A back-and-forth second set saw Rocky take a slim 9-8 lead following a kill from Kaitlyn Wood. The Battlin' Bears held a 14-13 advantage midway through, but the Argos quickly swung the momentum to secure a 25-16 set-two win.
The third set followed a similar script. After a tight start left Rocky trailing 11-9, Providence caught fire with eight straight points, pulling away for a 25-17 win to complete the sweep.
Providence outhit Rocky .262 to .083, as 24 attack errors hindered the Battlin' Bears throughout the match.
