CALDWELL, Idaho – The Battlin' Bears stumbled on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 63-13 to the fourth-ranked College of Idaho Yotes to drop to 0-2 on the season.
How it happened
The Yotes set a relentless pace from the opening kickoff, blocking a Battlin' Bears punt on the game's first possession and recovering it in the end zone for an immediate 7-0 lead. College of Idaho maintained control throughout the opening half, finding the end zone on four of its five possessions to total 42 points by halftime. Rocky would find the scoreboard in the second quarter when Ty Battle broke free for an electric 33-yard touchdown run. Garrett Deatherage converted a five-yard touchdown pass to Eric Thomas in the fourth quarter to round out the Battlin' Bears' scoring, as they fell 63-13 on the road to fourth-ranked College of Idaho.
